Samsung Galaxy A31 has a global score of 81.3, which is better than Honor 9X Pro's 71.9 general score. Although the Samsung Galaxy A31 and Honor 9X Pro were released only 0 months apart, the Samsung Galaxy A31 is just a little thinner and lighter. Both phones in this review include the same Android 10 OS, so you shouldn't perceive any differences in that aspect.
The Honor 9X Pro features a bit faster processor than Samsung Galaxy A31, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Honor 9X Pro also has a higher amount of RAM memory. Samsung Galaxy A31 features a little more vivid screen than Honor 9X Pro, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a bit higher display density.
The Honor 9X Pro counts with a much greater storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy A31, and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that allows a maximum of 512 GB, the Honor 9X Pro also has 256 GB internal memory. Galaxy A31 counts with superior battery lifetime than Honor 9X Pro, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
The Honor 9X Pro features just a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy A31, and although they both have a 48 mega-pixels resolution back-facing camera, a same size back camera sensor and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition, the Honor 9X Pro also has better video frame rates and a bigger camera aperture to take better images and videos in low light environments.
