The Samsung Galaxy A42 has an overall score of 87, which is way better than the Honor 9X Pro's global score of 71.9. Both devices in this review use Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy A42 has a more recent 11 version and Honor 9X Pro has Android 10, providing you a lot of extra features and optimized performance. The Samsung Galaxy A42 design is just a bit lighter and a little bit thinner than the Honor 9X Pro, although both were released only a couple of months apart.
Honor 9X Pro counts with a little better performance than Galaxy A42, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Honor 9X Pro also has more RAM memory. Samsung Galaxy A42 counts with a camera that's very similar to the Honor 9X Pro one, and although the Samsung Galaxy A42 has a lot higher 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, they both have a same resolution back facing camera and the same camera aperture.
