The Samsung Galaxy J8 is a bit better than the Honor 9X Pro, with a 76.7 score against 71.9. Samsung Galaxy J8's body is a little thinner and lighter than Honor 9X Pro, despite of the fact that it was released a bit more further than a year before. Both of these devices have the same Android 10 OS (operating system), so you shouldn't notice any difference regarding operating system features.
The Honor 9X Pro features a much better screen than Galaxy J8, because it has a much higher 1080 x 2340px resolution, a little bigger screen and a greater count of pixels per screen inch. The Honor 9X Pro features a bit better performance than Galaxy J8, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Honor 9X Pro also has 2 GB more RAM.
The Honor 9X Pro shoots much better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy J8, because although it has a tinier aperture, and they both have the same (Full HD) video quality, the Honor 9X Pro also counts with a much bigger sensor shooting much higher quality videos and pictures, a back-facing camera with a much higher 48 mega pixels resolution and faster 60 fps video frame rate.
The Honor 9X Pro has a very superior storage capacity for apps and games than Galaxy J8, because it has more internal storage capacity and a SD memory slot that holds up to 512 GB. Honor 9X Pro has a little better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy J8, because it has a 14 percent larger battery size.
