Galaxy Note8 has an overall score of 83, which is much better than the Honor 9X Pro's 71.9 general score. Both phones in this comparison review work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Note8 has newer 9.0 Pie version and Honor 9X Pro has Android 10, offering a lot of extra features and better performance. Even though Galaxy Note8 is notably older than the Honor 9X Pro, it's construction is a little lighter and a little thinner.

The Galaxy Note8 counts with a slightly better screen than Honor 9X Pro, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with more pixels per screen inch and a higher resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels. Galaxy Note8 features a bit more powerful processing unit than Honor 9X Pro. They have 6 GB of RAM memory and 8 CPU cores.

The Honor 9X Pro features much more memory capacity for apps and games than Galaxy Note8, because it has 256 GB internal memory and an external memory card slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB. Honor 9X Pro shoots better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has a smaller aperture, and they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition, the Honor 9X Pro also counts with a lot larger back-facing camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors, better 60 frames per second video frame rate and a much more MP camera in the back.
