The Xiaomi Mi 8 is better than Honor 9X Pro, getting a global score of 83.3 against 71.9. Both of these devices come with the same Android 10 OS (Operating System). Xiaomi Mi 8's design is somewhat thinner and somewhat lighter than the Honor 9X Pro, despite of the fact that it was released a bit more further than a year before.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with just a bit better display than Honor 9X Pro, because although it has a quite lower resolution of 1080 x 2248 pixels and a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little greater display pixels density. Honor 9X Pro features a much bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Honor 9X Pro also has a SD memory card expansion slot that allows up to 512 GB.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with just a little better hardware performance than Honor 9X Pro. Both have the same RAM memory amount and a Octa-Core CPU. The Honor 9X Pro captures much clearer pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and a F1.8 camera aperture, the Honor 9X Pro also has a camera in the back with much more mega-pixels, better video frame rate and a much larger back camera sensor providing a way higher image quality.
Honor 9X Pro features better battery performance than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has a 4000mAh battery size.
