Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has an overall score of 82.1, which is better than the Honor View20's 73.2 overall score. Samsung Galaxy A8 Star's body is just a bit heavier but just a little bit thinner than Honor View20, and both were released only a couple months apart. The Honor View20 has a bit better performance than Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Honor View20 also has more RAM.
The Honor View20 has a little sharper display than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a bit greater quantity of pixels in each inch in the display, a bit higher 1080 x 2310 resolution and a little bigger display. Honor View20 counts with a bigger memory to install games and applications than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage.
The Honor View20 features a superior camera than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not good for capturing photographs and videos in low light situations, and they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Honor View20 also counts with a lot bigger camera sensor providing a lot higher image quality and a much more megapixels back camera.
Honor View20 has just a little bit longer battery duration than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has an 8% larger battery size.
