Comparison review
The Galaxy A8 Star has a score of 82.1, which is better than the Honor View30 Pro's global score of 74.6. Both devices in our current comparison include Android operating system, but Galaxy A8 Star has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Honor View30 Pro has Android 10 version, providing you a lot of extra features and some performance improvements. Galaxy A8 Star's body is just a little bit lighter and somewhat thinner than the Honor View30 Pro, despite of the fact that it was released around 15 months before.
Honor View30 Pro features a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Honor View30 Pro also has a greater amount of RAM. Honor View30 Pro counts with a little sharper display than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2400px, a bit more pixels per inch in the screen and a little larger screen.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star counts with more storage capacity for apps and games than Honor View30 Pro, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external SD slot that supports a maximum of 400 GB. The Honor View30 Pro features a better camera than Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Honor View30 Pro also has a much bigger sensor providing a way higher image quality, a larger aperture for better captures and video in poorly lited situations and a camera in the back with a much better 40 MP resolution.
Honor View30 Pro counts with just a little better battery life than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a 4100mAh battery size.
