Comparison review

The Xperia 5 is a little bit better than HTC 10, getting a general score of 81 against 75.7. Xperia 5 is a much newer and just a little bit thinner cellphone than HTC 10, although it's a bit heavier. Xperia 5 features a little bit better performance than HTC 10, because it has a higher number of cores and 2 GB more RAM.

The HTC 10 features a little bit better looking screen than Xperia 5, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with more pixels per screen inch and a little bit higher 1440 x 2560 resolution. Sony Xperia 5 features more memory to store more games and applications than HTC 10, because although it has an external memory slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB against 1,95 TB, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity.

Xperia 5 has a little better battery lifetime than HTC 10, because it has a 3140mAh battery capacity. The HTC 10 features a slightly better camera than Sony Xperia 5, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not good for taking photos or videos in low light environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same resolution camera in the back, the HTC 10 also counts with a larger camera sensor and better 120 fps video frame rate.

Although Sony Xperia 5 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the HTC 10, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as HTC 10. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy HTC 10, and give up some specs and features, but you will get the most with your budget.
