The Xiaomi Mi 5s is slightly better than the HTC 10, getting a general score of 76.4 against 75.7. Xiaomi Mi 5s is a a little thinner and lighter phone than HTC 10, although they were only released 5 months apart. HTC 10 features a little sharper screen than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have a screen with the same size, the HTC 10 also has a higher count of pixels per inch of screen and a higher 1440 x 2560 resolution.
The Xiaomi Mi 5s and HTC 10 both count with similar processing units, both of them have 4 GB of RAM and a Quad-Core processing unit. The HTC 10 takes just a bit better photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have a camera with a 12 mega-pixels, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a 0.43 inches sensor, the HTC 10 also has faster 120 frames per second video frame rates and a bigger camera aperture to take better captures in low-light situations.
HTC 10 has a much bigger storage to store more apps and games than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Xiaomi Mi 5s counts with a bit longer battery performance than HTC 10, because it has 3200mAh of battery capacity instead of 3000mAh.
Although Xiaomi Mi 5s is a better device, it is a bit more expensive than the HTC 10, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the HTC 10. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get the HTC 10, letting go a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your savings.
