The Moto Z is just a bit better than the HTC Butterfly 2, getting a overall score of 74.5 against 67.9. The Moto Z works with Android 8.0 Oreo OS, while HTC Butterfly 2 comes with Android HTC Sense UI OS. Moto Z is a way thinner and a little lighter phone than HTC Butterfly 2. HTC Butterfly 2 counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Motorola Moto Z, because although it has 2 GB less RAM, and they both have 4 cores, the HTC Butterfly 2 also counts with a GPU.

The HTC Butterfly 2 features a little sharper display than Moto Z, although it has a little smaller display, a much lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a quite lower number of pixels per inch of display. The Motorola Moto Z features a much better camera than HTC Butterfly 2, and although they both have the same resolution camera, the Motorola Moto Z also has a bigger aperture to capture better low-light captures and video and a lot higher 3840x2160 video resolution.

Moto Z counts with a way bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than HTC Butterfly 2, because it has a SD extension slot that supports up to 1,95 TB and 32 GB internal storage. The HTC Butterfly 2 features a little better battery performance than Moto Z, because it has 2700mAh of battery capacity instead of 2600mAh.
