The HTC One mini construction is a little thinner and just a little bit lighter than the HTC Desire 500.
The HTC One mini has a much better display than HTC Desire 500, and although they both have a same size display, the HTC One mini also has a lot more pixels per display inch and a lot better 1280 x 720 resolution. The HTC One mini features a bit better processing power than HTC Desire 500, because although it has lesser CPU cores , and they both have a 1 GB RAM, the HTC One mini also counts with an additional graphics co-processor.
The HTC One mini has a little bit better memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than HTC Desire 500, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 12 GB more internal memory capacity. The HTC One mini's battery life is very similar to HTC Desire 500's battery life.
HTC Desire 500 counts with just a bit better camera than HTC One mini, and although they both have a F2 aperture, the same video frame rate and the same 1280x720 video definition, the HTC Desire 500 also has a camera in the back with way more megapixels.
In addition to being the best phone between the ones we are comparing, the HTC One mini is also by far the cheapest.
