HTC One mini Review

HTC One mini is an amazing Android device, including a 4.3-inches multi-touch capacitive screen, an extremely fast Dual-Core CPU ticking at 1.4 gigahertz, a 4 MP back facing camera and a 1.6 mega-pixels front facing camera.

This phone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 system chip, including a high-tech 1400 MHz Dual-Core CPU with only 1 GB RAM memory which is a little bit low for a phone of this level. Graphic calculations usually consume lots of processing time, so it counts with a 450 megahertz Adreno 305 graphics processing unit to help handle those graphic tasks. The HTC One mini counts with a quite large 16 GB internal memory and whereas it doesn't have a slot for SD memory cards, it is enough to store hundreds of games and apps, but it probably wouldn't be enough if you are planning to install a couple of the largest games currently available or taking tons of photos and videos.

This cellphone is much lighter than what you expect from a cellphone like this. This phone is extremely slim and practical, with a thickness of just 0.36". Regarding its construction materials, this cellphone is mainly made with Aluminium, giving this cellphone a high quality design and high resistance.

The HTC One mini is equipped with two cameras, a 4 MP back camera and a 1.6 mega-pixels front facing camera. the HTC One mini's back camera has an aperture of F2 so it can capture detailed photographs even in poorly lit environments. This phone also captures videos in Full HD 1920x1080. To complete the camera, it also counts with flash and auto-focus.

The HTC One mini includes an absolutely amazing 4.3" screen with a 1280 x 720 (HD) resolution, providing this phone with a very detailed graphical experience. This screen uses S-LCD 3 capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

This cellphone comes with a good 1800 mAh Li-Polymer non-replaceable battery providing this phone with a quite short battery life. This device has a reported 20.7 hours talk time and a 500 hours stand by time according to HTC. A key issue to evaluate is that the HTC One mini's battery is non-removable so you can't change it when it begins to live shorter, having to buy a new phone to "solve it".

This cellphone counts with WiFi capability (although it can't be shared with other devices around, acting as a router), 4G (LTE) high performance connection type and also HSPA+ connectivity, which is a slower 4G variation and fast 3G internet connection, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone works with a Micro SIM card for GSM carriers.

This cellphone also comes with a couple interesting characteristics like Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

This phone is really overpriced considering it is offerred for $ 199, while some similar devices are being sold for much less than that. No matter if you will use it for work, are looking for a cellphone to mostly use social networks, love photography or will use this phone to play lots of games, this phone is a great option for you.
