The LG Tribute Monarch is better than HTC Desire, getting a 68.6 score against 60.6. The LG Tribute Monarch body is much newer and thinner than HTC Desire's, although it's also just a little heavier. These phones include Android operating system, but LG Tribute Monarch has 10 version and HTC Desire has Android 4.4, offering a couple nice extra features and improved performance.

The LG Tribute Monarch features just a bit better looking display than HTC Desire, because it has a much higher resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels, a higher pixel count in each display inch and a larger display.
The LG Tribute Monarch takes much better pictures and videos than HTC Desire, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the LG Tribute Monarch also has a lot bigger aperture to take better images and video in low-light situations and a much more mega-pixels camera.
The LG Tribute Monarch features a little bit better storage for applications and games than HTC Desire, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 32 GB internal memory capacity. LG Tribute Monarch counts with a much better battery life than HTC Desire, because it has a 2890mAh battery size against 2040mAh.
The LG Tribute Monarch costs a little more money than HTC Desire, but you can get a better phone for that few more dollars.
