HTC Desire Review

HTC Desire is a nice Android phone released many years ago, including a medium sized 4.7 inches capacitive touch-screen, a high-tech 1200 MHz Quad-Core processor, an 8 MP back facing camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front camera.

HTC ships the HTC Desire with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 system chip, backed up by an extremely powerful Quad-Core processor running at 1200 megahertz with only 1 GB of RAM which is a bit poor comparing with this phone's powerful CPU. Helping with graphic intensive apps and games, this phone also has a 450 MHz Adreno 305 GPU. A good advantage of this phone is the 8 GB quite large internal storage and an external memory slot, allowing the user to install hundreds of games and apps without worrying about space.

The HTC Desire has an inspired design, with a thickness of just 0.38 inches. HTC did an amazing job making this cellphone as lightweight as 5.06 oz. This cellphone is available in a wide range of color variations, black, green, blue, red and white.

This phone has a nice 4.7 inches display with a 854 x 480 resolution, making everything look colorful and brightful.

This cellphone offers Wi-Fi capability (although it can't be provided to other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), LTE 4G high performance connection and also HSPA+ data connection, that is a bit slower 4G type and fast 3G connectivity, over HSDPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. This phone works with a Nano SIM card to use GSM services and it works with both CDMA and GSM.

This phone has two cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 1.3 MP front side camera. It can also capture videos in 1920x1080 (Full HD). The camera also includes a few good characteristics: flash, auto-focus and geo tagging.

This cellphone uses an inmense 2040 mAh Li-Polymer non-removable battery, which is not really enough for a thirsty cellphone like this. A possible problem to take into consideration is that this phone's battery isn't removable so you won't be able to replace it when it begins losing capacity, making it necessary to change the whole cellphone.

This phone also comes with a couple interesting characteristics such as Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and a couple sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

This cellphone is priced around 109 dollars, quite expensive for a device this level. If you want a social device, will use it as a work cellphone or will use it as a gamer phone, this device is a great option for you.
