HTC Desire Review

HTC Desire is a solid phone released in February 2014, which counts with a 4.7" display, an extremely powerful 1.2 gigahertz Quad-Core processor, and two cameras, an 8 megapixels back facing camera and a 1.3 megapixels front facing camera.

HTC decided to equip this cellphone using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chip, backed up by a high performance Quad-Core processor running at 1.2 GHz with only 1 GB of RAM which is a bit disappointing considering its impressive processor. Graphic intensive apps and games often uses lots of processing time, so this cellphone also counts with an Adreno 305 graphics processing unit clocking at 450 MHz to take some work out of the CPU. This cellphone counts with anice 8 GB internal memory and a slot for SD memory cards, which allows the user to store hundreds of apps without any problem.

This phone is extremely thin and good-looking, with a thickness of just 0.38 inches. This device is offerred in a variety of colors: black, green, blue, red and white. HTC has made a really good job making the HTC Desire as lightweight as 5.06 ounces.

This phone has two cameras, an 8 MP back-facing camera and a 1.3 MP front camera. It can also film videos in Full HD 1920x1080. To complete the camera, it also features a few interesting characteristics: flash, geo tagging and auto-focus.

HTC designed this cellphone with a good level 4.7 inches screen, and a resolution of 854 x 480 , which makes it hard to see the pixels that compose the screen.

This device counts with WiFi capability (although it can't be shared with other devices as a mobile mobile hotspot), 4G LTE fast data connection and also HSPA+ connection type, which is a slower 4G variation and 3G fast data connection, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. This phone uses a Nano SIM card for GSM connection and it can use both GSM and CDMA carriers.

This cellphone packs amassive 2040 mAh Li-Polymer non-replaceable battery that provides the HTC Desire a not very long battery life comparing with other similar devices. A big issue to consider is that this cellphone's battery is not removable so you won't be able to replace it when it starts to have trouble holding its charge, leaving no choice but to buy a new device or maybe take the cellphone to an expert who can dismantle it and switch its battery.

This cellphone also features a few interesting features like Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and some sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

This cellphone is being sold for 125 dollars, which is a rather high price for a phone this level. This device is the right one for you no matter if you will use it for work, want a gamer phone or want this phone mainly for internet broswing and social networks.
