Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has a general score of 72.1, which is just a bit better than HTC Desire EYE's 65.6 global score. The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 design is much newer, a little bit lighter and a little thinner than the HTC Desire EYE. Both of these devices have Android OS (Operating System), but Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has a more recent 7.0 Nougat version and HTC Desire EYE has Android 4.4.4 version, providing a couple nice extra features and optimized performance.

The HTC Desire EYE counts with a lot better looking display than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a lot higher 1920 x 1080 resolution and a much better pixels density. Xiaomi Redmi Y1 counts with a much better storage for applications and games than HTC Desire EYE, and although they both have an external memory card slot that holds up to 128 GB, the Xiaomi Redmi Y1 also has 64 GB internal storage capacity.

HTC Desire EYE counts with just a bit better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, although it has an inferior number of cores (but faster) and less RAM memory. The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 counts with longer battery life than HTC Desire EYE, because it has 3080mAh of battery capacity. The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 shoots much better photographs and videos than HTC Desire EYE, although it has a tinier camera aperture which is worse for taking images and video in low light situations, they both have the same (Full HD) video definition, the same video frame rate and a 13 MP camera in the back.

Xiaomi Redmi Y1 is not only the best devices between the ones we are comparing here, but it's also by far the cheapest, making it an obvious call.
