Comparison review

The Samsung Captivate is slightly better than HTC Desire S, with a overall score of 57.2 against 52.2. Both of these devices have Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Captivate has older 2.3 version and HTC Desire S has Android 2.3.5 version. Even though the Samsung Captivate and the HTC Desire S were only released 8 months apart, the Samsung Captivate is just a little bit lighter and thinner.

Samsung Captivate has just a bit better looking screen than HTC Desire S, because although it has a little less pixels per inch in the display, and they both have exactly the same 800 x 480px resolution, the Samsung Captivate also counts with a little larger display. The Samsung Captivate has a much better storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than HTC Desire S, because it has 16 GB internal memory capacity.

The HTC Desire S has a little better performance than Samsung Captivate, and although they both have 1 processing cores, the HTC Desire S also has a better graphics co-processor running at 245 MHz and a higher amount of RAM. Samsung Captivate takes a little bit better photographs and videos than HTC Desire S. Both of them have the same video frame rates, the same (HD) video resolution and a same resolution camera.

Samsung Captivate features a bit superior battery life than HTC Desire S, because it has a 1500mAh battery capacity against 1450mAh.

In addition to being the best phone between the ones we are comparing, Samsung Captivate is also very cheap compared to the other ones, which makes this phone a no doubt choice.
