HTC Desire S is a decent quality Android cellphone released in 2011, with a 3.7 inches multi-touch display, a great performance CPU running at 1000 megahertz, and two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back side camera and a 0.3 MP front camera.
Whereas this cellphone is quite slim it's not even close to being one of the thinnest phones in the market, with a thickness of 0.46". This cellphone feels a bit heavy comparing with today standards, weighting 4.59 oz.
HTC sells this phone with a fast CPU ticking at 1000 megahertz, included in a Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 MSM8255 system chip with 768 MB RAM memory. Graphic intensive tasks often eats lots of processor time, so this cellphone counts with an additional Adreno 205 graphics processing unit clocking at 245 MHz to improve overall performance. The HTC Desire S counts with a 1 GB internal storage, a small amount that might be enough for some users knowing that it also has an external memory card slot to store songs, photos and videos and even some apps and games that allow being installed in the external memory.
HTC designed this phone with a nice 3.7 inches display, and a 800 x 480 resolution, making everything look very nice. Its display uses S-LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.
The HTC Desire S provides wi-fi connectivity (although it can't be shared with other devices acting as a hotspot) and the fastest 3G internet connection, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone uses a SIM card to use GSM services.
The HTC Desire S features two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 0.3 megapixels front-facing camera. It can also capture videos in HD 1280x720. To complete the camera, it also counts with auto-focus and flash.
This cellphone uses a mid capacity 1450 mAh Li-Ion replaceable battery providing the HTC Desire S with a below average battery duration. This phone has an estimated talk time of 9.8 hours and a stand by time of 430 hours according to HTC.
