Both phones in this comparison review use Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy S4 has 4.4.2 version while HTC Evo 4G LTE has Android 4.0.3 version, so it gives you a couple nice extra features. Samsung Galaxy S4 is a newer phone, and it's also thinner and a bit lighter than the HTC Evo 4G LTE.
