The Xperia 5 has a score of 81, which is better than HTC One A9's 72.1 general score. Xperia 5 is a much newer phone than HTC One A9, but it is just a little thicker and heavier. Sony Xperia 5 counts with a little sharper display than HTC One A9, because it has a bigger screen, a quite better 1080 x 2520 pixels resolution and a little more pixels per inch of display.
Sony Xperia 5 counts with a bigger memory capacity for apps and games than HTC One A9, because although it has a SD extension slot that holds up to 512 GB against 1,95 TB, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. The Xperia 5 features a superior processing unit than HTC One A9, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Xperia 5 also has 3 GB more RAM memory.
Sony Xperia 5 takes much better videos and photos than HTC One A9, because although it has a back facing camera with less megapixels, it also counts with a larger aperture to take better photos in poorly lited situations and a much higher video quality. The Sony Xperia 5 is a lot more expensive than HTC One A9, but you can get a better phone for that few more dollars.
