LG V30S ThinQ has a general score of 82.5, which is much better than the HTC One (M8)'s 71.6 global score. Both of these phones use Android OS (operating system), but the LG V30S ThinQ has the newer 8.0 Oreo version and HTC One (M8) has Android 5.0 version, offering a lot of extra features and some performance improvements. The LG V30S ThinQ design is way newer, just a little bit lighter and a lot thinner than HTC One (M8).

LG V30S ThinQ has a bit more powerful processor than HTC One (M8), because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM and 4 more cores. The HTC One (M8) has a slightly better looking screen than LG V30S ThinQ, although it has a just a bit inferior count of pixels per inch in the display, a much lower 1920 x 1080 resolution and a quite smaller display.

The LG V30S ThinQ has better battery life than HTC One (M8), because it has a 27% more battery capacity.

The LG V30S ThinQ costs a bit more money than the HTC One (M8), but it's still a good choice, as you can get a lot more for that extra money.
