Galaxy S6 has a score of 87.3, which is way better than HTC One (M8)'s general score of 71.6. These phones include the same Android 5.0 operating system. The Galaxy S6 is a newer device, and it is also lighter and way thinner than HTC One (M8). The Samsung Galaxy S6 has a bit sharper display than HTC One (M8), because it has a little bigger display, a better display pixel density and a better resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
Galaxy S6 counts with just a bit better hardware performance than HTC One (M8), because it has more RAM, a 64 bits CPU, a better graphics processor and 4 more cores (although they are slower). Samsung Galaxy S6 counts with a much better storage capacity to install games and applications than HTC One (M8), because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 96 GB more internal storage.
The Galaxy S6's battery lifetime is very similar to the battery performance in HTC One (M8), although the Galaxy S6 has 2550mAh of battery capacity.
