Comparison review

The Google Nexus 5 has a score of 76, which is a little bit better than the HTC One (M8)'s general score of 71.9. The Google Nexus 5 design is somewhat lighter and just a little bit thinner than the HTC One (M8), even when they were released only a few months apart. These devices work with Android operating system, but the Google Nexus 5 has older 4.4.3 version while HTC One (M8) has Android 5.0.

The HTC One (M8) features a bit better processing power than Google Nexus 5. They have the same number of cores, a 450 MHz graphics co-processor and the same RAM memory amount. Google Nexus 5 has a display that's very similar to the display in HTC One (M8), both have a higher number of pixels per inch of display, a same size screen and the same exact 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution.

Google Nexus 5 counts with a slightly better camera than HTC One (M8), because although it has a smaller camera sensor, lower 30 frames per second video frame rate and a smaller aperture which is not good for low light photos, and they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution, the Google Nexus 5 also counts with a back camera with a lot better resolution.

The HTC One (M8) features much more storage for games and applications than Google Nexus 5, and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal storage capacity, the HTC One (M8) also has a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 128 GB. HTC One (M8) features a bit better battery duration than Google Nexus 5, because it has a 2600mAh battery capacity against 2300mAh.

Although Google Nexus 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the HTC One (M8), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as HTC One (M8). So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Google Nexus 5, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the HTC One (M8), giving up some features and specs.
