Comparison review
Huawei P20 is slightly better than the HTC One (M8), with a global score of 78.1 against 71.6. Even though Huawei P20 is a bit heavier than HTC One (M8), it's thinner and also a lot newer. Both devices we compare here come with Android OS (Operating System), but Huawei P20 has a newer 9.0 Pie version and HTC One (M8) has Android 4.4.4, giving some additional features.
The HTC One (M8) and the Huawei P20 both feature similar processing units, because although the Huawei P20 has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, it also counts with a larger number of cores and a higher amount of RAM memory. HTC One (M8) has a better screen than Huawei P20, because although it has a bit lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a quite higher pixels density.
Huawei P20 counts with a superior camera than HTC One (M8), because it has a much larger back camera sensor which provides a way higher image and video quality, a way higher 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, a larger camera aperture and a lot better 12 mega-pixels resolution camera. Huawei P20 counts with a much bigger storage capacity for apps and games than HTC One (M8), because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity.
The Huawei P20 has improved battery duration than HTC One (M8), because it has a 3400mAh battery size against 2600mAh.
Even being the best phone in this comparison, the Huawei P20 is also cheap compared to the HTC One (M8).
