Comparison review
The Apple iPhone XS Max has a global score of 84.5, which is just a bit better than the HTC One M9's 77.7 overall score. The Apple iPhone XS Max is a newer and notably thinner phone than the HTC One M9, but it's also much heavier. HTC One M9 has a little bit better screen than Apple iPhone XS Max, although it has a way worse 1920 x 1080 resolution, a lot smaller display and a little inferior pixels number per screen inch.
The iPhone XS Max has a little faster CPU than HTC One M9, because although it has lesser CPU cores (but faster) and doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, and they both have a 64 bits processor, the iPhone XS Max also counts with a higher amount of RAM. The HTC One M9 has slightly more storage capacity for games and applications than iPhone XS Max, because although it has just 32 GB internal memory, it also counts with an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 128 GB.
The iPhone XS Max and HTC One M9 feature similar cameras, because although the iPhone XS Max has a lower 3840x2160 video resolution, a smaller back-facing camera sensor and a much less mega pixels resolution back-facing camera, it also counts with a bigger aperture to capture better low-light photography and videos.
IPhone XS Max features just a bit longer battery lifetime than HTC One M9, because it has a 3179mAh battery capacity instead of 2840mAh.
Although iPhone XS Max is a better device, it costs a lot more than HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the HTC One M9. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the iPhone XS Max, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the HTC One M9, letting go some features and specifications.
