Motorola Edge 50 has an overall score of 81.2, which is slightly better than the HTC One M9's overall score of 77.7. These phones come with Android OS (operating system), but the Motorola Edge 50 has the newer 14 version and HTC One M9 has Android 5.0, so it provides you a couple additional features. The Motorola Edge 50 body is much newer and thinner, but somewhat heavier than the HTC One M9.

HTC One M9 features a much better performance than Motorola Edge 50, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have 8 processing cores, the HTC One M9 also counts with an additional graphics processing unit and a 64-bit CPU. Motorola Edge 50 has a little more vivid screen than HTC One M9, because it has a really larger display, a better resolution of 1220 x 2712 and a little bit better pixels density.

The Motorola Edge 50 counts with much more memory capacity for apps and games than HTC One M9, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage. The Motorola Edge 50 features a much better camera than HTC One M9, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality and the same video frame rate, the Motorola Edge 50 also has a much larger sensor, a way better resolution camera in the back and a larger diafragm aperture to take better captures and video in low light environments.

Motorola Edge 50 features a much better battery lifetime than HTC One M9, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 2840mAh.
