The HTC One M9 is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy J7 Max, getting a 77.7 score against 76.1. Both phones in this review have Android OS (Operating System), but HTC One M9 has an older 5.0 version and Samsung Galaxy J7 Max has Android 7.0 Nougat version. Despite of the fact HTC One M9 is much older and somewhat thicker than Samsung Galaxy J7 Max, it's design is still somewhat lighter.
HTC One M9 counts with a little better hardware performance than Galaxy J7 Max, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have 8 cpu cores, the HTC One M9 also counts with an additional graphics processing unit and a 64 bits processor. The HTC One M9 counts with a brighter screen than Galaxy J7 Max, because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have the same exact resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the HTC One M9 also counts with a quite higher display density.
The HTC One M9 takes better pictures and videos than Galaxy J7 Max, because although it has a much smaller aperture, it also counts with a camera with a lot higher 20 megapixels resolution and a lot better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution. The Galaxy J7 Max has just a bit more storage capacity to install applications and games than HTC One M9, and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal storage capacity, the Galaxy J7 Max also has a SD card slot that supports a maximum of 256 GB.
Galaxy J7 Max has greater battery life than HTC One M9, because it has a 3300mAh battery size.
