Galaxy Note 5 is a little bit better than the HTC One M9, getting a score of 79.3 against 77.7. Although the Galaxy Note 5 and HTC One M9 were released only a couple months apart, Galaxy Note 5's body is extremely thinner but also a little bit heavier. Both devices in this comparison review use Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Note 5 has newer 5.1 version while HTC One M9 has Android 5.0.
The Galaxy Note 5 has a little sharper display than HTC One M9, because it has a little bit more pixels per inch of display, a higher resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and a little bit bigger screen. HTC One M9 features a faster processing unit than Galaxy Note 5, because although it has 1 GB less RAM memory, it also counts with a 64-bits processing unit, a higher number of cores (although slower) and an extra graphics co-processor.
HTC One M9 counts with a bit bigger storage to install applications and games than Galaxy Note 5, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 128 GB. Galaxy Note 5 counts with a bit longer battery life than HTC One M9, because it has 3000mAh of battery capacity instead of 2840mAh.
HTC One M9 shoots clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy Note 5, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not nice for capturing photos or video in low light environments, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the HTC One M9 also counts with a camera with more mega pixels and a bigger camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
Although Galaxy Note 5 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as HTC One M9. If you are trying to save some money, you can get the HTC One M9, giving up a couple features, but you'll get the most with your money.
