Comparison review
Sony Xperia XZ1 has a general score of 78.3, which is a little bit better than HTC One M9's 77.7 global score. Sony Xperia XZ1's construction is newer, just a little bit lighter and way thinner than the HTC One M9. HTC One M9 has a more vivid screen than Xperia XZ1, because although it has a little bit smaller display, and they both have an equal resolution of 1920 x 1080, the HTC One M9 also counts with a little more pixels per inch in the display.
The Sony Xperia XZ1 features a superior memory capacity for apps and games than HTC One M9, because it has 32 GB more internal storage capacity and a SD card slot that admits up to 1,95 TB. The HTC One M9 features a bit better CPU than Xperia XZ1, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have 8 CPU cores, the HTC One M9 also counts with a 64-bit CPU and an extra graphics processing unit.
The HTC One M9 features a bit longer battery duration than Xperia XZ1, because it has 2840mAh of battery capacity. The Xperia XZ1 features a bit better camera than HTC One M9, because although it has a back camera with less MP and a lower video quality, it also counts with a bigger back-facing camera sensor taking better quality photos and videos and a larger aperture to take better low light photography and videos.
Although Sony Xperia XZ1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as HTC One M9. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Sony Xperia XZ1, else you can save some dollars and buy the HTC One M9, resigning a couple specifications.
