Galaxy Note 3 has an overall score of 81.2, which is better than the HTC One max's 70.8 general score. These phones have Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Note 3 has newer 5.0 version and HTC One max has Android 4.4.2. The Galaxy Note 3 body is thinner and lighter than HTC One max, even though they were only released with a couple months difference.

The Galaxy Note 3 has a little bit better display than HTC One max, because although it has a little smaller display, and they both have the same resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the Galaxy Note 3 also counts with a just a bit better pixels density. The Galaxy Note 3 features a bit more powerful processor than HTC One max, and although they both have 4 CPU cores, the Galaxy Note 3 also has 1 GB more RAM memory and a faster graphics processing unit running at 450 megahertz.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has a way bigger memory for applications and games than HTC One max, and although they both have an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 64 GB, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 also has 32 GB more internal memory capacity. HTC One max has a bit longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Note 3, because it has a 3% greater battery capacity.

Galaxy Note 3 shoots a lot better photos and videos than HTC One max, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for capturing photographs and/or video in poorly lited environments and a tinier sensor shooting worse quality photos, it also counts with a way better 13 mega pixels resolution back-facing camera and a lot better video resolution.

In addition to being the best phone of the ones we compare here, the Galaxy Note 3 is also cheaper than the HTC One max, which makes this phone an easy choice.
