Comparison review
The Xperia Z5 has a global score of 77.6, which is just a bit better than HTC One ME's 73.5 score. Even when Xperia Z5 and HTC One ME were released with only 3 months difference, Xperia Z5 is just a little lighter and a lot thinner. These phones have Android OS, but Xperia Z5 has 5.1 version while HTC One ME has Android 5.0 version.
HTC One ME features a little more vivid screen than Xperia Z5, and although they both have a display of the same size, the HTC One ME also has a higher resolution of 2560 x 1440px and a higher display pixels density. The HTC One ME has a way bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Sony Xperia Z5, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the HTC One ME also has an external memory card slot that holds up to 2 TB.
The Xperia Z5 features a superior hardware performance than HTC One ME, and although they both have a 3 GB RAM, the Xperia Z5 also has a larger number of cores and an additional GPU. The Sony Xperia Z5 takes way better photos and videos than HTC One ME, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same (4K) video resolution, the Sony Xperia Z5 also has a bigger back-facing camera sensor capturing higher quality photos, a back facing camera with a higher resolution and a bigger diafragm aperture for better photos and videos in low light environments.
Xperia Z5 counts with a bit longer battery lifetime than HTC One ME, because it has a 2% bigger battery capacity.
Although Sony Xperia Z5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the HTC One ME, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the HTC One ME. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy the HTC One ME, giving up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
