The HTC Desire has a global score of 50.6, which is just a bit better than the HTC Touch Diamond's global score of 46.1. Although HTC Desire is newer than the HTC Touch Diamond, it's a little bit thicker and heavier. The HTC Desire comes with Android 2.2 OS, and HTC Touch Diamond works with Windows Mobile Professional 6.1 OS.

The HTC Desire has a better performing CPU than HTC Touch Diamond, and although they both have the same number of cores, the HTC Desire also has more RAM and an additional graphics co-processor. The HTC Desire has a brighter screen than HTC Touch Diamond, because although it has a little bit worse pixel density, it also counts with a little higher resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and a way larger screen.

HTC Touch Diamond counts with a superior storage for applications, games, photos and videos than HTC Desire, although it has no SD memory slot. HTC Desire features a very superior battery performance than HTC Touch Diamond, because it has 1400mAh of battery capacity.

Even being the best phone of the ones we are comparing, HTC Desire is also by far the cheapest one, which makes it a no doubt choice.
