Comparison review
The Xperia XZ1 has a score of 78.3, which is just a bit better than the HTC U Play's global score of 73.5. Xperia XZ1's design is just a little bit thinner but a little bit heavier than HTC U Play, and they were released with only 7 months difference. Xperia XZ1 features a bit better processing power than HTC U Play, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia XZ1 also has a greater amount of RAM.
The Sony Xperia XZ1 counts with just a bit better screen than HTC U Play. Both of them have an equal 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, a greater pixel count per inch of display and a same size screen. Xperia XZ1 counts with a bigger storage for apps and games than HTC U Play, and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that allows up to 1,95 TB, the Xperia XZ1 also has 32 GB more internal storage.
Sony Xperia XZ1 shoots better photographs and videos than HTC U Play, and although they both have a same size aperture, the Sony Xperia XZ1 also has a way higher (4K) video definition and a better 19 megapixels resolution back camera. The Sony Xperia XZ1 features just a bit longer battery life than HTC U Play, because it has a 2700mAh battery size against 2500mAh.
Although Xperia XZ1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the HTC U Play, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the HTC U Play. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Xperia XZ1, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the HTC U Play, letting go some specs and features.
