Google Pixel XL is just a bit better than the HTC U11, having a global score of 81.3 against 77.6. Google Pixel XL's construction is a little thicker but just a bit lighter than HTC U11, and both of them were only released 7 months apart. The HTC U11 features a little better hardware performance than Google Pixel XL, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM, the HTC U11 also has a higher number of faster cores.
The HTC U11 has a little bit better display than Google Pixel XL. They have exactly the same 1440 x 2560 resolution, a display of the same size and the same display pixels density. HTC U11 shoots just a bit better photographs and videos than Google Pixel XL, because although it has a worse video definition, a back camera with less megapixels and a tinier camera sensor taking less light and duller colors, it also counts with a larger aperture.
Google Pixel XL has slightly more storage capacity for apps and games than HTC U11, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 64 GB more internal storage. Google Pixel XL counts with just a little better battery lifetime than HTC U11, because it has a 15% bigger battery capacity.
Although Google Pixel XL is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the HTC U11, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as HTC U11. If you want to save some money, you can buy HTC U11, giving up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
