Sony Xperia 5 is a little bit better than Huawei Mate 10, with a global score of 81 against 78.9. The Sony Xperia 5 design has the same thickness than the Huawei Mate 10, but it is lighter. The Huawei Mate 10 has a bit more vivid display than Xperia 5, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a slightly higher resolution of 1440 x 2560px and a bit greater display density.

The Sony Xperia 5 counts with a much bigger memory for applications and games than Huawei Mate 10, because it has a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 512 GB and 128 GB internal memory. The Xperia 5 has a bit more powerful processing unit than Huawei Mate 10, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xperia 5 also has more RAM memory.

So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Xperia 5, else you can save some dollars and get the Huawei Mate 10, giving up some specifications.
