Comparison review
Sony Xperia 5 is a little bit better than Huawei Mate 10, with a global score of 81 against 78.9. The Sony Xperia 5 design has the same thickness than the Huawei Mate 10, but it is lighter. The Huawei Mate 10 has a bit more vivid display than Xperia 5, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a slightly higher resolution of 1440 x 2560px and a bit greater display density.
The Sony Xperia 5 counts with a much bigger memory for applications and games than Huawei Mate 10, because it has a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 512 GB and 128 GB internal memory. The Xperia 5 has a bit more powerful processing unit than Huawei Mate 10, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xperia 5 also has more RAM memory.
The Sony Xperia 5 captures slightly better pictures and videos than Huawei Mate 10, and although they both have a camera in the back with a 12 MP resolution, a F1.6 aperture, the same video frame rate and the same video definition, the Sony Xperia 5 also has a larger sensor which gives a better photo and video quality.
The Huawei Mate 10 counts with better battery duration than Sony Xperia 5, because it has a 27 percent greater battery capacity.
Although Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Huawei Mate 10, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Huawei Mate 10. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Xperia 5, else you can save some dollars and get the Huawei Mate 10, giving up some specifications.
