Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a bit better than the Sony Xperia XZ2, with a score of 82.9 against 79.1. Although Huawei Mate 20 Pro and the Sony Xperia XZ2 were only released 7 months apart, Huawei Mate 20 Pro is just a bit lighter and way thinner. The Xperia XZ2 features a little better processing power than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro and the Sony Xperia XZ2 both feature extremely similar screens, although the Sony Xperia XZ2 has a little less pixels per display inch, a quite smaller display and a lot lower resolution of 1080 x 2160px. Huawei Mate 20 Pro takes clearer photos and videos than Xperia XZ2, because although it has lower video frame rates, and they both have the same (4K) video definition, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also counts with a lot bigger sensor, a back-facing camera with way more megapixels and a larger diafragm aperture.
Sony Xperia XZ2 has more storage to install games and applications than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external memory slot that supports up to 400 GB. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro features better battery lifetime than Sony Xperia XZ2, because it has a 4200mAh battery size.
