Comparison review
Huawei Mate 20 has a global score of 79.5, which is a little bit better than OnePlus 8's 76 global score. Although the Huawei Mate 20 is better than OnePlus 8, we must highlight that it is also an older, just a little heavier and just a little thicker phone. The OnePlus 8 has a slightly better display than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have a screen with the same size, the OnePlus 8 also has a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, more brightness and a little bit higher pixels amount in each inch of screen.
The OnePlus 8's memory to install applications and games is very similar to the Huawei Mate 20 one, both have equal 128 GB internal memory. The OnePlus 8 counts with a little better hardware performance than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the OnePlus 8 also has 4 GB more RAM.
The OnePlus 8 counts with a little better battery life than Huawei Mate 20, because it has an 8% greater battery capacity. OnePlus 8 takes better pictures and videos than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have a F1.8 aperture and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the OnePlus 8 also has a back camera with lot more mega-pixels, higher 60 frames per second video frame rates and a bigger back-facing camera sensor capturing better quality videos and pictures.
Although Huawei Mate 20 is a better device, it is way more expensive than OnePlus 8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as OnePlus 8. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Huawei Mate 20, else you can save some dollars and buy the OnePlus 8, letting go some features and specifications.
