Both devices in our current comparison use Android operating system, but the Huawei Mate 20 has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has Android 5.1, offering some extra features.

Galaxy S6 edge+ features just a bit better looking screen than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a higher amount of pixels per inch of display and a better 2560 x 1440 resolution. The Huawei Mate 20 features a faster CPU than Galaxy S6 edge+, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Huawei Mate 20 also has 7 more CPU cores.

The Huawei Mate 20 has a way bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has more internal storage capacity. The Galaxy S6 edge+'s camera is just as good as the camera in Huawei Mate 20, because although the Galaxy S6 edge+ has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not recommended for shooting images or video in poorly lited environments and a smaller back camera sensor which provides a worse image and video quality, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, it also counts with a way better resolution back-facing camera.

The Huawei Mate 20 counts with longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has a 33% more battery size.

Although Huawei Mate 20 is a better device, it costs more money than Galaxy S6 edge+, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy S6 edge+. If you are trying to save some money, you can get the Galaxy S6 edge+, and give up a couple features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
