Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 20 has an overall score of 79.5, which is a little bit better than Sony Xperia XZ2's overall score of 79.1. Even when the Huawei Mate 20 and the Sony Xperia XZ2 were released with only a couple months difference, the Huawei Mate 20 is much thinner and just a bit lighter. Sony Xperia XZ2 features a little sharper display than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has a little bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2160px, less brightness and a little smaller display, it also counts with a just a little better pixel quantity in each inch in the display.
Xperia XZ2 counts with a bit better processing power than Huawei Mate 20. Both have a Octa-Core processing unit and 4 GB of RAM. The Xperia XZ2 takes a little bit better videos and photos than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not favorable for taking photos and video in low light environments, and they both have the same (4K) video quality and a same size sensor, the Xperia XZ2 also counts with a camera with much more mega pixels and faster video frame rates.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 has a better memory for apps and games than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage, it also counts with an external memory slot that admits a maximum of 400 GB. The Huawei Mate 20 has superior battery lifetime than Xperia XZ2, because it has a 4000mAh battery size against 3180mAh.
