Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 20 is a little bit better than Xiaomi Mi 5s, getting a global score of 79.5 against 76.4. These phones have Android OS (operating system), but Huawei Mate 20 has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Mi 5s has Android 6.0 Marshmallow, offering some extra features. The Huawei Mate 20 body is notably newer than Xiaomi Mi 5s's, although it's a bit thicker and heavier.
Xiaomi Mi 5s and Huawei Mate 20 have incredibly similar screens, because although the Xiaomi Mi 5s has a bit worse 1080 x 1920 resolution, a way smaller display and much less brightness, it also counts with a just a little better pixels number per inch of screen. Huawei Mate 20 counts with just a little better performance than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM, the Huawei Mate 20 also has more cpu cores.
The Huawei Mate 20 and the Xiaomi Mi 5s count with really similar storage capacity to store more apps and games, both of them have equal 128 GB internal memory. The Huawei Mate 20 captures a little bit better photographs and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have a same resolution camera, a 0.43 inches back-facing camera sensor, the same video frame rate and the same video resolution, the Huawei Mate 20 also has a larger camera aperture.
Huawei Mate 20 features better battery performance than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a 25% larger battery size.
Although Huawei Mate 20 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Xiaomi Mi 5s, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xiaomi Mi 5s. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Huawei Mate 20, else you can save some dollars and buy the Xiaomi Mi 5s, giving up some features and specifications.
