The Huawei Mate 30 is a bit better than the Sony Xperia 5, with an 84 score against 81. Although it's the best we are comparing, Huawei Mate 30 is a just a bit thicker and somewhat heavier phone than Sony Xperia 5. Huawei Mate 30 and Sony Xperia 5 have really similar processors, and although the Sony Xperia 5 has less RAM, they both have the same number of cores. The Xperia 5 counts with a very superior storage to install games and applications than Huawei Mate 30, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal storage, the Xperia 5 also has a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 512 GB.
Huawei Mate 30 captures much better photographs and videos than Xperia 5, because although it has a smaller camera aperture, and they both have the same video resolution, the Huawei Mate 30 also counts with higher 60 frames per second video frame rate, a way bigger back-facing camera sensor shooting lot better quality videos and pictures and a camera in the back with much more megapixels.
The Huawei Mate 30 features better battery lifetime than Sony Xperia 5, because it has a 4200mAh battery capacity instead of 3140mAh.
