The Huawei Mate 40 Pro has an overall score of 90.9, which is much better than the Motorola Edge 50's score of 81.2. These phones have Android OS, but Huawei Mate 40 Pro has older 10 version and Motorola Edge 50 has Android 14 version. Despite being the best phone in our current comparison, we must note that it's also extremely older, somewhat thicker and somewhat heavier.
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro has an extremely better CPU than Motorola Edge 50. Both of them have 8 GB of RAM and 8 CPU cores. Motorola Edge 50 has a sharper display than Huawei Mate 40 Pro, although it has a quite worse display density, a bit lower resolution of 1220 x 2712 and a little bit smaller screen.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a bit better camera than Motorola Edge 50, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is worse for low light photography and videos, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a camera with a 50 MP, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also counts with a bigger sensor which gives a better image and video quality and higher 60 fps video frame rates.
The Motorola Edge 50 and Huawei Mate 40 Pro feature incredibly similar memory capacity to store more games and applications, both have equal internal storage capacity. The Motorola Edge 50 features a bit better battery lifetime than Huawei Mate 40 Pro, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity against 4400mAh.
