The Huawei Mate 40 Pro is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Note9, getting a 90.9 score against 87.1. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro design is a lot newer, but just a bit thicker and just a little heavier than Samsung Galaxy Note9. The Galaxy Note9 has a bit sharper display than Huawei Mate 40 Pro, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little more pixels per inch of display and a slightly better 1440 x 2960 resolution.

The Huawei Mate 40 Pro counts with just a bit better processing power than Galaxy Note9, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also has a higher amount of RAM. Galaxy Note9 has slightly more storage for games and applications than Huawei Mate 40 Pro, because although it has only 128 GB internal storage, it also counts with an external memory card slot that admits up to 512 GB.

Huawei Mate 40 Pro features a greater camera than Galaxy Note9, because although it has a much tinier aperture which is not so good for capturing pictures or video in low light situations, and they both have the same 60 frames per second video frame rate and the same (4K) video definition, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also counts with a way bigger sensor taking much higher quality videos and photographs and a lot more mega pixels camera.
