Comparison review
Huawei Mate 8 is slightly better than the Google Nexus 5, getting a score of 77.4 against 76. Huawei Mate 8's construction is newer and just a little thinner, but also noticeably heavier than the Google Nexus 5. The Google Nexus 5 features a brighter screen than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have the same exact 1920 x 1080 resolution, the Google Nexus 5 also counts with a little better screen pixel density.
The Google Nexus 5's processor is very similar to the processing unit in Huawei Mate 8, because although the Google Nexus 5 has an inferior number of cores and also slower and a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with an extra GPU. Huawei Mate 8 counts with a much better storage to store more games and applications than Google Nexus 5, because it has 128 GB internal memory and a SD memory slot that admits a maximum of 128 GB.
The Huawei Mate 8 has a superior camera than Google Nexus 5, and although they both have the same video quality, the Huawei Mate 8 also has faster 60 frames per second video frame rate, a camera with a way higher resolution and a bigger aperture to capture better low-light photography and videos.
Huawei Mate 8 has a really longer battery duration than Google Nexus 5, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate 8 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Google Nexus 5, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Google Nexus 5. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy Google Nexus 5, letting go a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
