IPhone 8 has an overall score of 85, which is slightly better than the Huawei Mate 9 Pro's 78.7 global score. IPhone 8 is a lighter and just a bit thinner cellphone than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, even when they were released only a couple of months apart. Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with a slightly better screen than Apple iPhone 8, because it has a lot better 1440 x 2560 resolution, a lot higher pixels density and a larger screen.
IPhone 8 has a little bit better performance than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because although it has less RAM memory and a lower number of cores and they are also slower, it also counts with a 64-bits processor. Apple iPhone 8 features a bit better camera than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because although it has a smaller camera sensor taking less light and washed colors, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a same resolution back-facing camera, the Apple iPhone 8 also counts with a larger aperture and better 60 fps video frame rates.
Apple iPhone 8 has a way bigger storage for applications and games than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has 256 GB internal storage. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a very superior battery lifetime than iPhone 8, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity.
IPhone 8 costs a bit more than the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, but you can get a better phone for that extra dollars.
