Huawei Mate 9 Pro is just a bit better than the Asus ZenFone AR, having a global score of 78.7 against 77.4. Huawei Mate 9 Pro's construction is thinner and a little lighter than Asus ZenFone AR, even when both of them were released with only a couple of months difference. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro features a little better hardware performance than Asus ZenFone AR, and although they both have a 6 GB RAM, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro also has a higher number of faster cores.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a little bit better display than Asus ZenFone AR, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 1440 x 2560 resolution, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro also counts with a quite greater display density. Asus ZenFone AR shoots just a bit better photographs and videos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because although it has lower video frame rate, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Asus ZenFone AR also counts with a back camera with way more megapixels, a larger camera aperture for better low light photography and a bigger back camera sensor providing a better image quality.
Asus ZenFone AR has a superior storage capacity for apps and games than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Asus ZenFone AR also has an external memory card slot that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB. Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with longer battery lifetime than Asus ZenFone AR, because it has a 21% bigger battery capacity.
