Comparison review
Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a global score of 78.7, which is a little bit better than the Sony Xperia XZ1's 78.3 score. Although it's the best cellphone in this review, Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a just a little bit thicker and just a little bit heavier cellphone than Sony Xperia XZ1. Xperia XZ1's processing unit is just as good as the processor in Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although the Xperia XZ1 has less RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processor.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro has just a bit better looking display than Xperia XZ1, because it has a little bit bigger display, a better resolution of 1440 x 2560 and a better pixels density. The Sony Xperia XZ1 counts with a much better storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because although it has 0 less internal memory, it also counts with a slot for SD memory cards that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB.
The Xperia XZ1 features a little bit better camera than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Xperia XZ1 also has a larger diafragm aperture to capture better low-light photos, a camera with a lot higher resolution and a much larger back camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with a much better battery duration than Xperia XZ1, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a better device, it costs a bit more than the Xperia XZ1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xperia XZ1. If you prefer to save some money, you can get the Xperia XZ1, letting go a couple features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
