Huawei Mate X's body is notably newer than the Google Pixel XL's, but it's extremely thicker and extremely heavier. The Huawei Mate X features a bit superior processing unit than Google Pixel XL, because it has a higher amount of RAM memory and more cpu cores.
The Google Pixel XL has a little sharper screen than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a bit worse 1440 x 2560 resolution and a way smaller display, it also counts with more pixels per inch in the display. The Google Pixel XL captures just a bit better photographs and videos than Huawei Mate X, although it has a much worse 12.3 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera, a smaller aperture which is not favorable for low light photography and videos and a way tinier camera sensor which offers a lot worse photo and video quality.
Huawei Mate X counts with a lot bigger memory for games and applications than Google Pixel XL, because it has 512 GB internal memory. The Huawei Mate X has better battery performance than Google Pixel XL, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it is way more expensive than Google Pixel XL, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Google Pixel XL. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Huawei Mate X, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Google Pixel XL, letting go a couple specs and features.
