Comparison review
The Huawei Mate X is better than Huawei P20, getting a global score of 89.4 against 78.1. Huawei Mate X's design is newer, but noticeably thicker and way heavier than the Huawei P20. Both of these phones work with the same Android 9.0 Pie operating system, so both of them should provide the same OS features.
Huawei Mate X counts with a little faster processing unit than Huawei P20, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei Mate X also has 4 GB more RAM memory. Huawei Mate X features a little more vivid screen than Huawei P20, because although it has a just a bit lower display pixels density, it also counts with a much better 2200 x 2480 pixels resolution and a way bigger display.
The Huawei P20 captures better pictures and videos than Huawei Mate X, although it has a back camera with much less mega-pixels resolution and a much smaller sensor providing a way lower image quality, they both have the same camera aperture. The Huawei Mate X counts with a way bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Huawei P20, because it has 512 GB internal memory.
Huawei Mate X features superior battery performance than Huawei P20, because it has a 32 percent larger battery size.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Huawei P20, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Huawei P20. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy the Huawei P20, and give up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your money.
