Huawei Mate X is much better than the OnePlus 8, with a score of 89.4 against 76. Although it's the best we compare here, the Huawei Mate X is a noticeably heavier and extremely thicker phone than the OnePlus 8. OnePlus 8 counts with a bit sharper screen than Huawei Mate X, although it has a lot lower resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a bit less pixels per inch in the display and a quite smaller display.
Huawei Mate X has a lot bigger memory for games and applications than OnePlus 8, because it has 512 GB internal memory. The OnePlus 8 counts with a bit better processing unit than Huawei Mate X. Both have 8 GB of RAM memory and a Octa-Core processor. OnePlus 8 counts with a lot better camera than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a smaller back camera sensor which provides a worse photo and video quality, and they both have a F1.8 camera aperture, the OnePlus 8 also counts with a back-facing camera with more mega pixels.
Huawei Mate X counts with just a bit longer battery life than OnePlus 8, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity instead of 4300mAh.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more money than OnePlus 8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as OnePlus 8. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Huawei Mate X, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the OnePlus 8, giving up some features and specifications.
